January 6th at sea on the Norwegian Gem

Today was definitely not a wake up and head to the gym day. It was a
wake up at noon day and chug some water. We decided to walk the ship
again today and find some new things. It's our second day at sea and
our last until we head back to New York. It's actually warm today, we
are almost near Puerto Rico. It's really windy and a bit cloudy but
right when the wind stops and the sun comes out it's hot! We tried to
lay out today but it was just too windy. The most hilarious thing
happened today, a down poor happened, luckily we were sitting under a
hut when it hit and we had a great view of the whole pool area, and
everyone just split, people running for cover everywhere, people
falling. It was the most hilarious thing I have seen so far. It gave
me a pretty good laugh. I got tired of getting goosebumps on my
vacation so we head inside. We found a new lounge today, the Spinnaker
Lounger. It's larger then Bliss Lounge and not as cheesy. We also
found a really cool computerized blackjack game. I actually played
this time, just to get some practice in incase I decided to play with
a real dealer. Lucky us, it was karaoke night. I guess it was just a
funny sort of day. 75 year olds singing songs I have never heard of?
Also, very entertaining. There is a comedian onboard, Bill Bernhardt.
So we decided to see his show tonight. He started off horrible but
after he warmed up a bit he was actually very funny. It takes a very
funny person to make me laugh hard and he got the job done. Tonight is
the white hot white hot hotty hot party, or something equally as long
and confusing. All the crew was in white outfits today so we decided
to follow the trend. Luckily I brought a white dress. It was pretty
cool, with all the black lights and glow sticks..reminded me of a
small version of a rave. The after party was at Bliss, where we ran
into Ray again and talked the night away again. Matt and Ray really
hit it off. We danced for a little while there. We decided not to get
as crazy as last night, we ended up going to bed around 2 instead of
4. We hit up the Blue Lagoon again for a snack and then off to our
stateroom sweet stateroom. Tomorrow we will be in St. Thomas! I can't wait to step foot on our first island.
